At the Berliner Hörspielnächte, radio plays are performed live on stage: crime stories, mysteries, music and improv. Students see how voices, sound effects and music come together to tell a story. The programme changes with the seasons, and shows take place on different stages around Berlin and last 1 to 2 hours. It's a nice evening activity.

Starting at the Friedrichstraße pier, the boat passes the Reichstag, the government district, the main station and Museum Island while the commentary explains the history behind them. It takes about an hour, and teachers get to sit back while the class enjoys the view.

A guided hike along the Tegeler Fließ, a stream in the north of Berlin, introduces students to local plants and animals. Along the way they can identify trees and birds or look at insects and herbs up close, and learn some basics of ecology and nature conservation. It's a nice break from the city, and the hike takes 1 to 1.5 hours.

This guided walk follows the former border between East and West Berlin around the Berlin Wall Memorial. The guide explains what everyday life was like in the divided city, with stories pitched at young people. The tour takes about 1.5 hours.
